Telham

Telham in East Sussex

Telham is on the A2100 between Battle and Hastings. It is a tiny hamlet comprising a few houses, a church (The Church of the Ascension) and a public house which holds a renowned music festival. Telham Hill lies close by and it is believed that this is where William the Conqueror's army first saw Harold's soldiers preparing to fight on nearby Senlac Hill prior to the Battle of Hastings on 14th October 1066.
